Job Description

Our client is internationally renowned as one of the most prestigious providers of luxury addiction treatment facilities. Based in Europe, in a stunning location, clients spend the duration of their treatment in private luxury villas, surrounded by unique and highly individualised treatment teams comprised of clinical, therapeutic and support staff.

Staying in the luxury serviced villa with the client, the live in counsellor provides a key role supporting the client on a personal level during their stay and providing an important bridge between the client and the therapeutic team, ensuring that visitors get the maximum benefit from the team in place throughout their treatment experience.

Our client is currently looking for a female, Arabic Speaking live in counsellor for a fixed term contract based in Zurich, Switzerland.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the client with time management and helping manage schedule
  • Providing one to one emotional support throughout the client’s stay
  • Identifying key areas a client requires support with and reporting to focal counsellors and other members of the therapeutic and wellbeing team
  • General emotional support, mentoring and companionship during the client’s stay
  • Creating a positive environment within the accommodation throughout the client’s treatment duration
  • Depending on relevant skills and experience, and where appropriate, using your experience and knowledge to offer supporting treatments to the client during their stay

Live in Counsellors are generally not expected to attend therapeutic, clinical sessions or other activities with the client throughout the day. On occasion there may be instances where attendance could prove beneficial to the client’s treatment. In these circumstances attendance by Live in Counsellors may be requested.

The role of Live in Counsellor is one of constant one on one involvement with the client. Live in counsellors will need to be able to quickly ascertain a relationship with the client, making them feel safe and welcome right from the start of their stay.

Because of the intense nature of this position, contracts typically run on a 4 week cycle.


Due to the highly personalised nature of this vacancy, where the successful applicant will be expected to share accommodation with the client for part of or the complete duration of the client’s treatment, only female applicants can be considered for this specific vacancy.

Applicants must be fluent in Modern Standard Arabic and English

This vacancy will require a resilient individual who understands the complex presenting issues usually associated with withdrawal and recovery from addictive disorders.

  • Life Coaching
  • Personal Experience of Addiction and or sponsoring individuals through relevant support programmes such as SMART recovery or 12 Step fellowships (long term abstinence based recovery, typically greater than 5 years sobriety)
  • Holistic Therapies
  • Sober Companionship
  • Sober Coaching
  • NLP

Language requirements:

Fluent in Arabic and English


Contract Rate: Approx £9,000 / pcm depending on experience and local exchange rates.

The position comes with an extremely attractive remuneration package made up of a fixed contract rate, living expenses and accommodation included.

Expenses include travel costs to our client’s facility from your home where necessary (including international flights where applicable) and travel costs home on completion of the contract.
